Having a pet is usually a rite of childhood. Whether it is a bunny or gold fish, a dog, cat or horse, children enjoy the companionship offered by animals. Did you know, however, that not only can pets be a source of warm, fuzzy entertainment, but they can offer several developmental benefits to children as well? A child’s physical, social, emotional and cognitive development can all be encouraged by interaction with the family pet. Most children love animals and at some point they desire to have a pet of their own. Now, before you say, “no way are we getting a pet!” there are actually some major benefits that pets provide for children.

Green Smoothies

Hello Everyone! Today, I would like to speak with you about our healthy life. 🙂 I love a lot smoothies. I find that smoothies let you consume a lot more fruit than you usually would during a sitting, which means that even if you’re not adding sweeteners like honey or agave, you’ll still be getting a good deal of sugar. Green smoothies are not only a unique colour but they also offer unique health benefits. Made with leafy greens that are loaded with antioxidants and vitamins, green smoothies are an excellent way to enjoy a delicious drink that satisfies hunger and offers maximum nutrition. Read more…

My mom always told me my freckles were “sun kisses.” We all have cells in our skin called melanocytes. These specialized cells are designed to protect us from the harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun. They do so by producing a pigmented protein called melanin. They get bunched up together, resulting in freckles. Read more…

Mother’s Day

Saying Happy Mother’s day, it is about truly letting our moms know how much they are appreciated and cared for.Without moms where would we be as a society? It is safe to say that our society would be significantly smaller, colder and more ill-mannered. It is our mom that teaches us how to nurture and how to love. It is through her guidance that we as individuals learn how to be empathetic and sympathetic to those around us. How many times have you been in a public place and seen a child get hurt and 3 or 4 moms run to the aid of that child. Obviously they are all not the child’s mother, but there is a need there… a willingness to make sure those around them are alright. Read more…

It is hard to find the balance in life which is key to everything; to live in harmony with yourself and confidence in the future. Every day we are balancing on the precipice ready to break at any moment and at that very moment it is so important to have someone who will always support and  will tell you the right way… and if there is no one to be there for you, we just fall down nowhere. What helps you to stay afloat? What feeds your ideas and goals every day and makes you keep going forward? Certainly, Love. Of course, Family and Friends, that make your life filled with emotions; and yet we are encouraged by the love of self-esteem and development. Read more…

Who doesn’t like to shop? Buying new things is fun — except for when it takes so much time that it becomes more of a chore than a pleasure. I enjoy online shopping for more than 5 years already, and I started to enjoy it even more since I became a mom. Every parent will agree with me that it is a torture to go shopping with a kid. You do not really see anything because you need to watch your child!  Nowadays, more people than ever before in history are using the WEB to shop for a wide variety of items, from houses to shoes to airplane tickets. Winter is coming quickly… So what to do in the city when it’s getting cold? In my first post in this category, I was talking about Montreal activities already. Today, I wanted to share with you my good impressions from the informative exhibition for kids in Old Port of Montreal City. My kid is crazy about dinosaurs, that is why we were lucky to visit an opened exhibition in Science Center.
