If you have been on TikTok lately, there’s a chance you’ve come across a trend known as the “old money aesthetic”. The wealth that has been inherited rather than earned.
Old money’ is now an aesthetic trend rather than a lifestyle goal. To understand the old money aesthetic, one need to look no further than the timeless styles.

Staples of the “old money look” include the linens, polos and “quiet luxury” designer items, in addition to argyle vests, white sneakers, capris, quilted coats and tailored pieces.

Although ”old money” may seem worlds away from sustainable fashion, the idea is based on high-quality pieces in neutral shades that can be worn interchangeably and will last. Today, the trend is more about an emphasis on quality and craftsmanship rather than high priced luxury items.

The new old money aesthetic isn’t so much about looking wealthy, but rather shopping consciously and investing in your wardrobe. It may be a ”trend” but the look associated with one that can carry you throughout decades, and the pieces are intended to last.

Nothing beats adidas Samba trainers! Perfect for both casual and sporty looks. (Though I noticed that the tongue design on your pair looks rather different — the one I have isn’t padded.)

The one I have is called « samba classic », the one with different tongue is called « white gum ». Check farfetch website that I refer, the both styles are there.
