Is Plaid still in Style?

Plaid – also known as checks or tartan – is one of the fashion’s most popular prints, but is it in style in 2022? Plaid is somewhat a style staple for cooler seasons. For autumn and winter, plaids and checks are alive and vibrant because it was historically made of woven wool, and is, therefore, a great fabric for chillier temperatures.

What is important to know about plaids for winter and autumn months? You have to keep them bright and cozy. Plaid is a really versatile pattern — unlike some other trendy items — and most people have a plaid item in their closet and can integrate the print to match their individual style.

Why am I so happy about this trend, anyway? It’s simple, as I am the owner of plaid print items, like coats, scarves, shirts and blazers. My advice to you: if you don’t own one of these printed garments, then you better buy one of them!

You can always experiment with a plaid coat. It will add a stylish update to your overall look. And if you do not want to experiment with checkered garments, then you can always go for a stylish accessory, like a plaid scarf. 😉
