Hello Everyone! Today, I would like to speak with you about our healthy life. 🙂 I love a lot smoothies. I find that smoothies let you consume a lot more fruit than you usually would during a sitting, which means that even if you’re not adding sweeteners like honey or agave, you’ll still be getting a good deal of sugar. Green smoothies are not only a unique colour but they also offer unique health benefits. Made with leafy greens that are loaded with antioxidants and vitamins, green smoothies are an excellent way to enjoy a delicious drink that satisfies hunger and offers maximum nutrition.
Why green smoothies are healthy? Because they are very nutritious. The ratio in them is optimal for human consumption; green smoothies are easy to digest (when blended well, most of the cells in the greens and fruits are ruptured, making the valuable nutrients easy for the body to assimilate), green smoothies literally start to get absorbed in your mouth (as opposed to juices, are a complete food because they still have fibre – consuming fibre is important for our elimination system).
Green smoothies have proven to be loved by children of all ages, including babies of six or more months old. Of course you have to be careful and slowly increase the amount of smoothies to avoid food allergies. When consuming your greens in the form of green smoothies, you are greatly reducing the consumption of oils and salt in your diet. Regular consumption of green smoothies forms a good habit of eating greens. After a few weeks of drinking green smoothies, most people start to crave and enjoy eating more greens. Eating enough greens is often a problem with many people, especially children.
Here are some recipes for today, that I want to share with you:
Green Spinach Smoothie
Ingredients:
2 granny smith apples
3 kiwis + 1 cucumber
2 cups fresh spinach (or parsley)
1 cup water
Instructions: Peel the kiwis and place them into the blender. Cut up the remaining fruit and add them to the blender. Add in the remaining ingredients and blend thoroughly. That’s it! Easy breezy! Enjoy healthy life!
Cilantro Smoothie
Ingredients:
1 1⁄2 cups spinach, fresh
1⁄2 cup cilantro, fresh
2 cups water
3 bananas, 1 lime + 1 inch ginger
Instructions: Blend spinach, cilantro and water until smooth. Next add the remaining fruits and blend again. Enjoy it!
A REFRESHING, COLOURFUL DRINK FOR THOSE DOG DAYS OF SUMMER.
SMOOTHIES ARE GREAT FOR OUTDOOR ENTERTAINING, SUMMER BARBEQUES, NUTRITIONAL BREAKFASTS OR JUST SIMPLY TO QUENCH THIRST.
